STEM and medicine summer schools in the UK
These courses add hands-on science, engineering, coding or medicine to a residential summer at a UK school. Most combine morning classes or lab sessions with afternoon activities and weekend trips.
They are enrichment, not qualifications: a good STEM course builds curiosity and confidence in English-language science, but it does not give an advantage in school or university admissions. Subject courses usually expect intermediate English (around B1) or above.
25 courses at 15 schools, 24 with confirmed 2027 dates; weekly course fees from about £1,650 to £3,300.

Questions parents ask
- Does a medicine summer course help with medical school applications?
- It can help a student find out whether they enjoy the subject, but it is not a qualification and universities do not require it. Treat it as exploration, not a credential.
- What English level do STEM courses need?
- Most subject-based courses ask for around B1 (intermediate) or higher, because lessons are taught in English. Check each course page.
